How EdAtlas measures against the state

Every name is verifiable. Every score is real

“I think one of the main things that makes Rob just better than other tutors is just his resources and his way of teaching. It doesn’t just teach you the concepts of the maths that you need to know for the exam, but it also teaches you essential problem solving skills that you need for maybe some harder questions or separators on the exam that you might not have encountered in your practice. And that [was] essential in [getting] me this high mark.”

“I was worried about the fact that it was a slightly competitive environment. However, I do think that this competitive environment was actually what was pushing me to do my best. So I think I found it to be a really positive thing rather than a negative thing. The competitive edge that EdAtlas gives is really unparalleled in the tutoring scene.”

“Rob isn’t an ordinary math tutor, he has stories, and these stories everyone love[s] to hear because they tell you about life, they tell the mentality, they tell you how to improve. And these things are what allowed me to have the motivation and drive to improve on my maths study score but also the direction of life in general.”

“Something that stood out to me compared to other tutors is that [Rob] genuinely cares about his students – Rob is always available to talk – that kind of support system that exists outside the classroom as well, was a really big standout and really motivated me throughout VCE. I definitely don’t think that I would have been able to get a 50 in either of these subjects without [Rob and the team].”

“What makes EdAtlas so much better than the other tutoring companies I’ve worked with in the past is really the unmatched personal attention that Rob provides. Rob genuinely cares about me as a person. He really goes above and beyond with the amount of personal attention he provides to every single one of his students. His Infinity’s Playground, basically predicted the entirety of all the separators on the Methods exam last year, as well as the whole last question, all the solving methods, all the top topics, all the techniques.”

“Infinity’s Playground gave us additional insights, which enabled me to gain an extra 2-3 marks on the final exam. Without these marks, I wouldn’t have gotten a 50, or the perfect [99.95] ATAR. The impact is clear – with EdAtlas having taught every single Raw 50 in Methods that came out of Melbourne High this year.”

“Even with the size of his cohort, [Rob] was able to spend time messaging us [and] checking up on how we were doing. Also, I was able to ask Rob for tips regarding university, just studying in general, and also future jobs. There were times [during VCE] where I felt demotivated, so I [would] message Rob to keep me accountable, and I think that’s what really helped me through Year 12.”

ATAR

“Going into Year 12, my goal was just to get a 40 raw in Spesh – I didn’t really expect to get 47 – I was kind of shocked. If I hadn’t gone to EdAtlas, I definitely would not have gotten that. I think working with Rob allowed me to get the score that I did in Spesh and that translated into getting the ATAR that I didn’t really think I was going to get. I think what really differentiates EdAtlas from other tutoring companies is that he really cares about his students. No matter your mathematical ability, he puts time into getting to know every student. The support you get is much better than other tutors [I went to].”

ATAR

“I had a really clear goal in mind. I just didn’t know what I needed to do to get there. The Infinity’s Playground program – it’s really such a remarkable thing that Rob has set up for those who are willing to push themselves that extra mile. It is well beyond your expectations – within those hours that I spent at Infinity’s Playground, I was able to take onboard so many different problem solving techniques and styles to approach these questions – which I would otherwise really have no idea how to tackle.”

“I think one thing that really makes EdAtlas and just Rob stand out, compared to other tutoring companies, is how approachable and personable Rob is as a tutor. Across this year, it didn’t feel like Rob was just some distant lecturer that I was able to see once a week, but more so a close mentor, and someone who was really always there for me when I was going through difficulties.”

ATAR

“Working with Rob very largely contributed to my ATAR – without him it would not have been possible to get my 99.95. I think that Rob in particular pushed me to aim for something above a 50 [scaled]. One of my biggest memories at EdAtlas was when Rob had this chat about study skills – about how we should behave and live our lives and habits outside of simply Specialist Maths – for me this was something that really stood out – because Rob was looking out for how we did, our whole VCE and ATAR experience as opposed to just Specialist Maths – this was something that made EdAtlas really stand out from other tutors.”

“There was definitely a noticeable advantage that I was given through IP (Infinity’s Playground) questions and even just Compendiums questions. There would be so many times where I’d be in class and there would be some question on the whiteboard that I would just think, I’d done a Compendium question like this, or this has been in the notes, or this has been in IP and everyone else in the class would be completely stumped by it.”

“At the end of Year 10, I was struggling to maintain a 90% average but a lot of people in my class were consistently getting 100%. By the end of Year 11, I was fortunate enough to get the Methods Prize [Rank 1] and achieve a 50 [raw] in Methods. Without Rob, I definitely would not have been able to achieve the study score I got.”

“I was worried of getting low study scores because my course required really high study scores and so I knew EdAtlas was the place to go. My most impactful benefit from working with Rob was gaining so much more confidence. After being selected for Infinity’s Playground, my confidence definitely skyrocketed.”

“Out of the all the other tutors I’ve been with before, what made EdAtlas and Rob stand out to me was honestly the personalisation of the lessons and the resources/materials. The program is very much tailored [to mirror] the school program, except you learn everything earlier and at a deeper level.”

ATAR

“I think what makes Rob the best tutor out of the other tutors that my friends have gone to and have described to me about is that Rob is able to create this environment where ambition is quite normalised and that, when you’re surrounded by such smart individuals and such strong individuals, you sort of ultimately see how you yourself could be better and I think other tutors aren’t able to bring together these top tier individuals as well as Rob can.”

“Rob gave me a really clear roadmap of what to do. This was really important because I wasn’t worrying about whether I was doing the right thing – I just focused on the maths and I knew I had the best possible approach that I could have. Over Term 3 holidays, Rob ran 8-10 hour workshops over several days for us for free – I think that just really shows how much he cares and how much he gives to his students.”

“I messaged Rob on Instagram – and I asked him if he was going to available to have a quick call – I totally didn’t expect him to actually hop on that call because I had never met him before – but he actually called me that night. I think that commitment that Rob has to his students is something that stuck with me throughout the whole year. One of the things that differentiates EdAtlas from other tutors is Rob himself – the fact that he’s so collaborative with his students – the fact that he’s so interactive and able to support you at any moment.”

“I think Infinity’s Playground really helped me with my confidence. I knew when I was in reading time during the exam, I put down my bound reference down on the floor because I knew I had seen all those questions before. I wasn’t stressed after I’d seen all the questions and I felt pretty confident coming out of it.”

“The benefits of EdAtlas really showed in my own cohort, where pretty much all those top ranks, I think 10 out of the Top 13, [they] all went to EdAtlas. Other tutoring companies, you might walk out with a stack of materials, but most of it is just [not very useful] and isn’t actually going to get you where you need to be. I also really enjoyed all the career advice that you can get outside of just the academics. If you’re thinking about studying Commerce or going into tech, Rob [has] so much knowledge about those career paths.”

“I was worried that I would feel embarrassed if I asked a really silly question, but that was not the case with Rob. It was a really supportive environment. Rob’s mind map of what to do for each range of study scores was [very] useful, going from 30s to 40s to even the 50s – he gives you a really clear task list about what it takes to reach these – I definitely would not have thought about these without him.”

ATAR

“I think something that really separated Rob from the other tutors that I’ve worked with in the past is that Rob really cares about each individual student. When I did my first SAC for Specialist Maths, there were [some] questions where I lost marks – [Rob] helped me [successfully] end up getting a lot more marks on my SACs”.
2025
ATAR

“Personally, the most impactful thing about working with Rob was being able to change my mentality and believing that I had the potential to get a high study score if I worked for it, and also just being able to get access into some of the insights by one of the country’s most experienced people [in VCE Methods and Specialist Maths].”

“I feel that I was capped at a certain level and there was always this higher bar of potential that I wasn’t able to reach due to the fact that I was doing everything on my own. I started at around a 41 [raw] prediction I believe, working with Rob allowed me to soar to a new level where my potential was at.”

“I think it was the first part of my second SAC for Methods and I was ill and I hadn’t done as well as I thought I could’ve. I lost 10 or 11 marks and I was really down, and I think I messaged Rob at 1am and he basically replied within 10 minutes, at 1am. And he was there to console me, told me everything was going to be alright.
I think another example, on my first SAC, there was this concept, and there was about 20 or 30 marks on that one concept, and if I did not go [to] EdAtlas, I was not going to get those 20 or 30 marks.”

“I think the biggest advantage of Infinity’s Playground was [the] confidence [it gave me]. Going into the exam, I knew that, if there was a hard question, if there was hard questions, I would do really, really well because Rob has shown me 99% of every possible hard question. And obviously [this year’s (2025) exam had easier questions], which wasn’t the best, but I still had that confidence going in there, like I wasn’t stressed, and that was such a big lifesaver.”

“[Three] aspects in which EdAtlas really excelled compared to other tutoring companies that I went to was how [well] EdAtlas prepared me for Melbourne High SACs specifically. EdAtlas also provides a really really good 24/7 online support. The Infinity Playground program predicted almost all the questions I personally experienced on both exams. I could [also] approach Rob himself if I had any personal queries or concerns. It’s the competitive edge that Rob provides.”

“I knew I was the only one working with EdAtlas and the advantage throughout the entire year was incomparable to what other people had – it just honestly didn’t match up. By the end I actually [realised] that everyone in this room is going to get a 45 and I thought that was incredible. There is no way in the world that I could have achieved what I would have without EdAtlas.”

“EdAtlas is probably the best tutoring company geared towards people who really want to achieve at the [highest] end of study scores. EdAtlas really pushes you to become a better version of yourself. I remember in Term 3 holidays when we had to reschedule one of our Infinity Playground workshops and Rob was rescheduling it to his birthday – and that really showed me that he has a lot of care for his students and he really prioritises us first. I think EdAtlas is so much better than other tutoring companies just because of the quality of the materials they give you. You’re really ready for whatever type of question comes up on the exam. I haven’t seen anyone else recreate that. This is especially true in the [Infinity Playground] workshops – we covered all the possible separator questions that would come up.”

“I was really worried that I would disappoint myself because I get really stressed under exam conditions [and] test conditions. But when I went to EdAtlas, it really helped expose me to that environment of [SAC and exam conditions] a lot in the mock SACs. And also, Rob really helped give [me] the mindset I needed to succeed. Having that voice which supported me really helped me do well at school.”

“The resources at EdAtlas are very good and they were very beneficial to me for Methods. Furthermore, EdAtlas helped me mentally, through the year. When I felt like I didn’t really belong in a high-scoring class, like Infinity’s Playground, I would message Rob, and he would give me some mental insights, to get rid of any insecurities that I had.”

“I think, having Rob there and the entire EdAtlas team there, made me feel really supported and not alone to take my VCE journey by myself. I really enjoyed [Rob’s] classes because of his support and his relatability and I guess the mini stories he had. It just makes me enjoy the subject that I’m doing while having this supportive environment for me to learn Specialist Maths.”

“I was looking for a tutor because I did Methods the year before. A lot of my friends did Methods at EdAtlas that year – and they all got really good results. The classes are a collective of all the strongest students in the area. It really pushes you to aim for the highest scores, along with everyone else. It really helped change my mindset in just the way that I thought of my own skills in Maths. I never really thought of myself as one of the strongest students – going into Year 12 EdAtlas helped me change my mindset and see myself as one of those top students, and I ended up being like 3rd ranked in SACs for my school.”

ATAR

“I would say the most impactful thing about working with Rob, was probably the, like, sort of mindset shift I gained. I feel like in class, he supplemented the learning with like these stories that he had sometimes, and those, you know, were more focussed on like mindset, rather than like Specialist Maths. So that sort of helped me shift how I approach things and be a bit more, you know, systematic.”

ATAR

“Infinity’s Playground focuses on the final separator, the two mark edge, which means the difference between a study score of 48 to a study score of 50. And what that really does is [it] hammers in not only a competitive and healthy environment, but really push[es] those students aiming for perfection.”
2025
ATAR

“Having seen the results and the 47 [raw] median extension score [at EdAtlas], I thought it was almost too good to be true. But having come to the classes and sat the mocks alongside the other really strong students at EdAtlas, I began to realise that this wasn’t really the case, that it really was true. Working with Rob, it gave me the confidence in my own abilities – that I wouldn’t have had if I was not exposed to the EdAtlas atmosphere. In my opinion my score just simply would not have been able to be achieved had I not chosen to come to EdAtlas.”
2024
ATAR

“The practice exams booklet, I found those to be quite helpful because they compiled all the current study design questions in a format that really simulates the actual exam really well. And you’ll find that if you do just other like, for example, company papers, sometimes they’re good but sometimes the solutions are off and the questions are a bit out of the scope. So having something that you know is specific to the course and also has solutions that you know are right is really good for doing practice with confidence.”
2025
ATAR

“I think the biggest thing about Rob is that not only does he teach you maths, he also helps you develop a winner’s mindset, if that makes sense. First of all, coming into the year, I was only striving for maybe a 45 [Raw] Methods, a 40 [Raw] Spesh, but he drilled the mindset to always aim for the stars. Don’t limit yourself.”
2025
ATAR

“What differentiates EdAtlas is one, their resources. They’re next level, they’re really, really good. And another thing that differentiates EdAtlas is the community you get. What a lot of people believe is good about Selective High Schools, EdAtlas has that as well, about having a relatively large number of really high performing students and they’re always willing to talk and socialise.”
2025
ATAR

“I think what really sets EdAtlas apart from any other tutors is often you hear about tutors talking about results – but there’s no guarantee that they’d be able to teach, or know what really gets students to do well, what really succeeds. Knowing how to score high doesn’t really equate to being the best teacher. I think EdAtlas understands that really well. In the end, EdAtlas does get the results that they want because of [their] main focus on the students.”

“If you need [Rob], he’s very knowledgeable. He’s someone who will always be there to support you. He’s very cooperative as well – he’s someone who is there to listen to you and help you feel motivated. I wanna look beyond just the tangible results such as my study score, it’s more about the skills that Rob was able to inculcate within me. He helped develop a never give up attitude within me.”

ATAR

“It doesn’t feel like a tutor – Rob is like a mate and we can talk about stuff, we can laugh about stuff. It improves the morale of the class – you can connect with Rob on a friend level. I’ve reached out to Rob a couple of times throughout the year – he gave great advice and it was refreshing. Both of the times, I’ve taken the advice on board. His dedication, working all the time, teaching most classes. It really shows through his work. This is something that you wouldn’t get at many other tutoring companies – how well Rob gets to know you as a person, rather than a number, a figure or a stat.”
